"You are my exception"

Oh to hear those four words.....sigh.  Haha.

So I FINALLY saw that movie, "He's Just Not That Into You".  And yeah, I may have pulled a GiGi here and there.  And yes, I DO understand now, if the guy is interested he'll call, if he's not, he won't.  A few of my favorite parts:

* When GiGi was so convinced whats-his-face was interested in her and she goes in for the kiss and then he's like "what the heck?!" and then she storms out saying that even if she read the signs wrong at least she is closer to finding someone than he is because she allows herself to "feel" (something like that)  BOO-YAH!

*When Mary is talking about how she misses the old days when people had one phone number with one machine that had one little tape that either had a message on it or not and how frustrating it is to end up getting rejected by 7 different technologies!  haha.

*Where the married lady goes crazy and is throwing her scumbag cheating husband's clothes down the stairs....and then when bumface cheating husband gets home it shows the clothes and shoes neatly piled on the steps, color coded and in vacuum sealed packs.  (OCD! haha)

*When Ben Affleck's character (who doesn't believe in marriage) hides a ring in the pants Jennifer Aniston's character hates and is going to throw out, and he tells her to check the pockets first at least and then he proposes and says he just wants to make her happy and that if she's not happy he has absolutely no chance at being happy.  (Aw, cute)

So I came across a blog where someone was like "I believe in the 3 date rule"...as in, it takes at least 3 dates to give someone a fair chance before deciding to keep going or not.  Hmm...anyone agree?  I've been given a death sentence after one date (ending with, "keep in touch"....uh huh....okay!) and also the 3 date chance (led on and then dropped without forewarning.....  Everyone is different I guess!  Isn't it exciting!  You never know what you're gonna get!!!

Funny Games

Last night one of my good friends invited me to a party.  Most people there were BYU students (current or former) and toward the end of the evening someone started up some silly games.  I'm always amazed by people like that who can just get a crowd of people doing something together at the drop of a hat...talent!  Anyway, they started playing a bunch of games, that I like to call "BYU games".  Quoting my friend, "Well we don't have drugs or alcohol...so we have to get creative!" Yes, leave it to us crazy Mormons to find all sorts of creative ways to have fun without mind and mood altering substances!  Haha.

I really wish I'd had my camera to show you how to play these games, but for now a description will have to suffice, sorry.

The first game was some sort of ninja game (I started to think it was a Ninja Themed party since we'd just watched Kung Fu Panda).  Everyone stood around in a circle and one at a time going around the circle every one had to do some sort of ninja position.  Simultaneously, they were supposed to hit the hand of whomever they wanted (within a near proximity obviously).  If successful, the person hit was out, and the circle got progressively smaller.

The next game I got suckered into playing, but it was actually quite fun!  And could totally be a workout too.  Ok this one will be tricky to explain, but I'll try.  So for this game, we were all in a circle again and there was a rhythm of 1, 2, 3 as far as movements, and you had to play in groups of three.  For example, I'm in the middle and you're to my left and another friend is to my right.  Someone starts it off and when they point to me, since I'm in the middle for #1 I go, "HAH!" and throw both arms up.  For #2, the two people to either side of me do a chop motion toward me and yell something like "HOO"  and then for #3 I would then point to the next person and it continues randomly in this fashion until whoever is "it" isn't paying attention and messes it up, then they are out and the circle gets smaller and people keep playing until it's down to 3 finalists.  It's pretty funny and LOUD.

The last game I watched before I left I'd played before but had forgotten about it is where the group is in a huddle and stomping their feet to the rhythm of the words and looking to the floor, everyone says, "Ooga Booga, Ooga Booga, Ooga Booga, STOP! (or something like that), and at STOP, everyone looks up at someone. If whoever you're looking at is looking at you too then you're out!

Roller Coaster

So this is a pedal powered roller coaster in Japan.  I usually like roller coasters.  In fact, someday I hope to go to the roller coaster park in Cedar Point, Ohio...but does anyone else think this looks totally freaky?!?!?!
